This ‘Star Wars: Skeleton Crew’ Manifest Will Keep You Land Lubbers On Top Of New Episodes

Disney+ made a smart decision by releasing Star Wars: Skeleton Crew over the holiday season. It's such a cute story to watch with family, no matter how big of a Star Wars fanatic you are. If you're following the show, or trying to figure out the best time to binge over the break, here's what you need to know about the Skeleton Crew episode release schedule.

The series is about four ordinary kids in the Star Wars galaxy who accidentally end up parsecs away from home in a ship formerly occupied by space pirates. It's kind of like Skeleton Crew put Hook and Treasure Island in a Star Wars blender with 80s kid adventure movies like The Goonies and Stand By Me. Bonus: you don't really need to be caught up on all things Acolyte and/or Andor to follow along. No offense to Mandalorian and Ahsoka, but this isn't one of those shows that's gonna feature some character from a Star Wars animated series you never watched. At least, not yet.

But there is a little mystery for Star Wars fans of all ages and experiences to solve in the shape of a hidden planet. The kids and their brewing friendship is friggin' adorable. And there's an incredibly dashing Jude Law performance that will remind you to watch The Holiday if you haven't already. Something for everyone!

When does Skeleton Crew premiere?

The first two episodes of Skeleton Crew dropped on Disney+ on December 2, 2024. In them, we met the scrappy but ordinary kids involved in this dangerous adventure, the mysterious pirate captain and maybe former Jedi played by Law, and the droid SM-33. (Get it?? His name is Smee.)

Skeleton Crew was initially supposed to be released on December 3, so this was earlier than initially expected–and on a Monday, unlike subsequent episodes. They moved it up a day at the last second. Don't let that fool you going forward!

When does the next episode of Skeleton Crew drop?

New episodes will drop Tuesday nights at 9 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. PT on Disney+.

Each new episode will release weekly until the season finale in January. Plan accordingly, because there are back to back episodes dropping on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve. You might need to stay off social media if you're trying to balance holiday parties with avoiding spoilers.
