Sportmax Breathes Sporty Breeze, Urban Flair Into Its Sleek Nature for Pre-fall 2025
After some detours to disparate inspirations and different eras in its pre-collections and shows, the Sportmax design team is now back to focusing on its sleek roots and the ‘90s minimalist soul of the brand, while aiming to inject a fresher breeze into its precise, graphic lines.
For pre-fall 2025, the team embraced its sartorial expertise with a more urban attitude and sporty influences, inspired by the approaching Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics and the vibrant energy the event is expected to bring to Italy.

As result, the collection was a mix of sharp and softer edges and showed more range in fabrications. For one, outerwear came under different guises, spanning from an eye-catching faux-fur and a leather jacket with shearling collar to popping red down jackets and padded scarfs lined with snap buttons that best expressed the après-ski mood.
Metallic details also were seen on the cozy knitwear that abounded in the lineup — ranging from zippered high-neck sweaters to modular ribbed ones with detachable sleeves — as well as on denim and tailoring, where snap buttons returned either as ornaments or deployed to morph proportions and make garments multifunctional.
Denim was particularly appealing fits spanning from flared to baggy, especially in the case of pants with a side folding engineered to combine a flattering ample volume with an ornamental quality.
Tailoring followed suit, with wide back panels marking the silhouettes of vests, blazer jackets and denim shirts. Graphic constructions also marked Sportmax’s bread-and-butter pieces, including essential jersey frocks and razor-sharp tunic dresses, which were given dynamism via long eco-leather fringes.
