Justin and Leah betray Theo

As Justin steps into his new role as a father figure for Theo, viewers saw him get carried away by completing Theo’s TAFE assignment last week. While the budding mechanic was considered a ‘bad boy’ when he first arrived in Summer Bay, he's had a change of heart and decided to redo the assignment himself.

When Justin finds himself celebrating Theo’s TAFE mark a little too much, his girlfriend gets suspicious, asking what on earth he’d done this time.

“Leah sees through Justin’s lies because he’s not very good at lying to Leah. Justin also wears his heart on his sleeve and wanted to celebrate Theo and Justin’s TAFE results, he may have jumped the gun a bit,” James Stewart tells Yahoo Lifestyle.

The couple tries to fix their ‘mistake’ by telling TAFE that Theo handed in Justin’s version of the assignment without talking to Theo first, resulting in disastrous consequences.

“They have the best of intentions but sometimes those intentions backfire and don’t work out. This is one of those times and Justin feels terrible,” James adds.

The fallout from Justin and Leah’s meddling leaves Theo feeling betrayed and upset, but James believes that the family unit will get through this together.

“Theo and Justin’s relationship is still strong, even though these misunderstandings in Theo’s education have caused some grief.

“Justin learns to trust Theo and realises he should’ve done that from the start. It’s a humbling lesson for Justin and an empowering moment for Theo,” he adds.

Felicity gets a surprise

With Mackenzie looking like she’s facing some prison time, she’s put a quick contingency plan together by leaving a letter for Felicity to find at Salt.

“Hi new boss. If you’re reading this, I guess I’m sitting in a cell somewhere, so Salt’s in your hands now,” Felicity reads in the latest teaser.

Fraught with guilt, she tells Tane that it’s partly her fault that Mackenzie will go to prison, and doesn’t understand why she’s been chosen to do the job. With encouragement from her boyfriend who believes in her, the waitress-turned-boss sets out on a mission to save Salt.

The two women put their heads together to try and find a solution for Salt’s money problems, and Felicity takes to her new role like a duck to water. This time, they’re going to do everything on the right side of the law — no more illegal gambling!

Are the Delaney siblings leaving The Bay?

After Cash Newman (Nicholas Cartwright) accused Rose Delaney (Kirsty Marillier) of having feelings for him, their professional and personal relationship has been extremely strained.

Rose is worried about Jasmine’s return to Summer Bay, wondering if everything has become too complicated. While Cash tries to smooth things over, he soon finds that the cop isn’t interested in any type of relationship, including friendship.

When Irene reveals that the apartment above the Diner is for lease, Xander Delaney (Luke Van Os) jumps at the chance to move out of the caravan park.

However, with the ongoing sticky family situation — will the Delaney siblings permanently put down roots in Summer Bay or will they choose to leave?

Chloe stumbles on a dark family secret

Departed characters Ari Parata (Rob Kipa-Williams) and Mia Anderson (Anna Samson) made a shady business decision when they decided to purchase the local gym, using Ari’s armed robbery haul to fund it. The pair were so desperate to adopt a child after Mia’s miscarriage, that they were ready to do anything.

Mia’s daughter Chloe Anderson (Sam Barrett) was kept in the dark about this, but she's now found herself working at the gym as their new bookkeeper. While she loves her new job, it doesn’t take long for her to discover how much Mia and Ari paid for the gym.

With Tane being secretive about where the money came from, Chloe starts asking questions about the sale. If she discovers the truth, what does this mean for the Parata family?
