What Are Miniature Horses?

Several miniature breeds exist, including Dartmoor ponies, Falabella, miniature Shetland ponies, and Pygmy horses. Mini’s like Ted might stand less than 34 inches tall and, despite their small size, retain the proportions of a full-size horse. Miniature horses are beloved for their gentle, friendly, and outgoing nature. They are intelligent and easy to train, and their pleasant disposition also makes them excellent in therapeutic settings. They are being used more frequently as guide horses instead of dogs because of their longevity, with many living between 35 and 40 years. Some, like Falabella’s, with their higher-than-average IQ, can also be trained to do agility, shake hands, and do other tricks.
