SNL Video: Mikey Madison and Her Teen Pals Get Looped into Trump Team’s Group Chat

OMG, can you believe Saturday Night Live took on the Trump team’s group chat disaster? LOLOLOL!

This week’s SNL opened with host (and newly crowned Oscar winner) Mikey Madison as one of a trio of teen girls — joined by Sarah Sherman and Ego Nwodim — happily texting back and forth about classmates and boys when they were suddenly interrupted by Andrew Dismukes’ Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth: “FYI — Green light on Yemen raid.” He hit them with a bunch of flag emojis, and an eggplant, before gloating: “Israel better bend over and spread it, cleaning up their mess.”

The girls tried to tell him he was in the wrong group chat, but Hegseth just laughed it off: “LOLOLOL. Can you imagine if that actually happened? Homer disappear into bush GIF.” After he sent the girls the updated location of all the U.S. nuclear submarines, he looped in Bowen Yang’s JD Vance, who accidentally sent a female skier emoji before correcting it to a fire emoji. Vance was in Greenland (“Nobody knows why I’m here, especially me”), and he sent the girls a list of all the deep cover CIA agents before they can stop him. Oops!

Hegseth decided to celebrate with a Jack and Coke (“just the one, though”) — and though he promised to stop drinking when he joined the Trump administration, Vance supported his choice: “It’s like they say in AA: Just the one is OK.”) But Madison’s character interrupted them to say a boy named Matt was there to pick her up. “Who? Gaetz?” Hegseth asked. “Actually, yeah!” Madison replied.
