Skims' Latest Campaign Got Us Thinking Nonsense
Sabrina Carpenter is further cementing her pop-star status with the current gold standard of buzzy bookings: a Skims campaign.
The "Nonsense" singer — who just finished opening for Taylor Swift on the "Eras" tour — poses for Jack Bridgland (who previously photographed brand founder Kim Kardashian for her memorable 2023 GQ Men of the Year cover) in a '90s-themed bedroom, filled with CDs, band posters, a universal television remote, a landline telephone and more nostalgic items.
"Sabrina is not only a very talented musician, but she also has a fashion sense and an 'It' factor that really resonates with the next generation," Kardashian said, in a statement.
The 24-year-old shows off new colorways of Skims's best-selling Stretch Lace and Fits Everbody collections, including a blush pink corset and matching bikini-style panties, an open lace camisole set adorned with light pink rosettes and a neutral long-sleeve top and briefs.
"I loved the femininity of the whole creative. I feel very excited Skims chose me to be the face of this campaign as I've always been a fan of the brand," Carpenter said, in a statement.
This campaign marks Carpenter's second stint as an underwear model: The former Disney Channel actor previously starred in Savage x Fenty's third fashion show in 2021. "When [you're] in something that shows so much skin, you can just own every part of yourself," Carpenter said of her first lingerie-modeling experience. "It's really special."
The Skims campaign precedes Carpenter's Coachella debut on Apr. 12, followed by a performance at The Governors Ball Music Festival on Jun. 8.
