Sir Tom Jones to headline summer concert
Sir Tom Jones has been announced as a headline act at a racecourse, four years after he last performed there.
Newmarket Racecourse said the Welsh hitmaker and icon would sing after a day of racing on 1 August.
The Delilah and What's New Pussycat? singer marked his 80th birthday celebrations at the Suffolk venue in 2021.
"I can't wait to spend a summer's evening with everyone this August," Sir Tom said.
The 84-year-old's career has spanned more than six decades and he has sold more than six million records and scooped multiple awards.
He added: "I'm really pleased to be returning to Newmarket Racecourse to play to such a welcoming audience."
Sophie Able, the venue's director, said it was a "delight" to announce Sir Tom's return.
"His sold-out 2021 show goes down in Newmarket history as one of our favourites, with generations of fans dancing the night away to his unrivalled catalogue of hits," she added.
