Shake Shack's Fan-Favorite Menu Is Back as Customers Say It's 'Been Entirely Too Long'

If you're the type of person who thinks that just about any food can be improved with the addition of truffles, a visit to Shake Shack could be in order.

The burger chain is bringing back their popular Black Truffle Menu for a limited time, and fans can't wait for a taste.

Food blogger Markie Devo broke the news on Instagram on Sept. 11, sharing a delcious-looking photo of the savory offerings, which include a Black Truffle Burger, Black Truffle 'Shroom, Black Truffle Shack Stack, and Black Truffle Parmesan Fries.

"Anyone else feel bougie when they eat truffle sauce or is it just me?😎 @shakeshack brought back their Black Truffle sauce menu," read the caption.

Fans were more than a little enthusiastic.

"The best period 😮‍💨 finally back, it’s been entirely too long," wrote one commenter.

"YESSSSSSS," agreed a second person.

However, not everybody was on board.

"Mehhhh. I just want the hot ones chicken sando back," complained someone else.

The menu is a huge win for truffle lovers and cheese addicts alike. Made with 100% Angus beef, the Black Truffle Burger is topped with black truffle sauce (made with real black truffle oil), crispy onions, and Gruyere cheese, while the Black Truffle Shack Stack also features an Angus beef patty, this time topped with a crisp-fried portobello mushroom filled with melted cheddar and muenster cheeses in place of the onions (in addition to the black truffle sauce). For maximum truffle flavor without the meat, the Black Truffle 'Shroom is basically the same thing as the Black Truffle Shack Shack minus the beef, plus shredded lettuce. All three sandwiches are on toasted potato buns.

For the ultimate truffle experience, Shake Shack customers can order a side of Black Truffle Parmesan Fries, which take the chain's classic crinkle cuts and add a dusting of parmesan cheese with a side of black truffle sauce.

The Black Truffle Menu will be available nationwide starting September 13 (it's currently accessible through the Shack App).
