‘Severance’ Season 2 Is Now Streaming on Apple TV+

“Severance” Season 2 premiered Thursday night after a nearly three-year delay from the first season’s release. The anticipation is high, and viewers will likely be following each episode closely to unpack the mystery of Lumon and its Severed workers.

Each episode of “Severance” drops at midnight PT and 3 a.m. ET on Apple TV+. There are 10 total episodes in this season.

The streaming service is available for free with this week-long trial and after that, will resume at $9.99 per month. You can also try a free one-month trial with Apple One, a subscription bundle that allows you to pay a single price for a package of multiple Apple subscriptions. Or if you’ve recently bought an Apple device, you can redeem three months of free access to the streaming service.

If you have a Roku device, you can access Apple TV+ for three months at no cost. The first season is also available for free on Roku Channel through Jan. 19.

In Season 2, the Macrodata Refinement department finds itself back in Lumon’s sterile white halls. The season picks up sometime after the cliffhanger in Season 1’s series finale. The innies of Mark (Adam Scott), Irving (John Turturro) and Helly (Britt Lower) return to work, having glimpsed the outside world thanks to Dylan’s (Zach Cherry) execution of the Overtime Contingency that allows Severed employees to awaken in their outie forms.

The first episode of Season 2 already included some new additions to the cast: Sarah Bock as Miss Huang, Alia Shawkat as Gwendolyn Y., Stefano Carannante as an unnamed Italian macrodata refiner and Bob Babalan as Mark W.

Season 2 has earned critical acclaim. Variety TV Critic Alison Herman wrote in her review that “Whatever the destination ‘Severance’ is aiming for, the journey dramatizes the arbitrary rules and compartmentalized nature of modern work better than anything else on air.”
