Yahoo Lifestyle School Christmas card winners announced
The winners of a Christmas card competition for Hull schoolchildren have been announced.
Pupils were asked to design a card for the city council with a Hull theme.
Entries included the Humber Bridge, penguins at The Deep and a container of chip spice transformed into a Christmas tree.
The two winning cards will be sent to employees and partners across the area.
A panel of judges selected 10-year-old Oscar from Ainthorpe Primary as the winner in the primary school category and Lilah, 13, from Kelvin Hall winning in the secondary school category.
Oscar's entry features Hull Minster while Lilah has Santa in his sleigh flying over Hull City Hall.
Runners-up were selected as well, with nine-year-old Quinn from Thoresby Primary chosen in the primary category and Lily, 13, from Kelvin Hall in the secondary category.
All four children received gift vouchers from the Lord Mayor in a ceremony at the Guildhall.
Council leader Mike Ross said: "We had so many great entries this year, particularly with secondary school pupils involved for the first time.
"We certainly saw that our young people in the city are full of creativity and imagination, and I'd like to thank everyone who submitted their entry."
