Yahoo Lifestyle Scarlett Johansson Gives Old Hollywood Glamour Contemporary Edge in Red Saint Laurent Body-con Dress for ‘Transformers One’ London Premiere
Scarlett Johansson brought a sense of Old Hollywood glamour with a contemporary edge to the London red carpet premiere of her new film “Transformers One” on Thursday. The actress was joined by her costars, including Chris Hemsworth and Brian Tyree Henry, among others.
For the event, Johansson opted for a gown by Saint Laurent. The dress featured an off-the-shoulder, body-con silhouette with a bevy of fabric ruching. The cardinal red dress included a floor-length hemline and long sleeves.

Johansson paired the dress with strappy black sandal heels and accessorized her look with shimmering pieces of silver jewelry, including a delicate necklace, rings and earrings. The actress’ blond tresses were styled with subtle waves and a side part.
As for her makeup, Johansson’s eyes and lips mimicked the red hue of her dress, featuring a smokey eye with a hint of red coloring and a pop of a crimson lip. Johansson’s look was curated by stylist Kate Young, who’s also worked with Julianne Moore, Michelle Williams and Dakota Johnson, among others.
Young styled Johansson on some notable occasions over the course of the last several months. For the “Fly Me to the Moon” premiere on July 8 in New York City, Young styled the actress in a gingham set courtesy of Prada, which featured a cropped top with beaded trim, which coordinated with a pencil maxiskirt.
In May 2023, Johansson starred in the Galleria bag campaign for Prada. Art-directed by Venezuelan-American artist Alex Da Corte, Johansson posed for a series of photos for the Italian luxury fashion house’s campaign. Da Corte was “interested in Scarlett as a modern icon, and how she succeeds in embodying different personas — a bit like glass. She is a fantastic performer, it was amazing to watch her work.”
Johansson starred in another campaign film for the Galleria bag last April. The short-film was directed by Jonathan Glazer, with whom Johansson worked on the 2013 science fiction film “Under the Skin.”
“Transformers One” is an animated film that relays the origin story of Optimus Prime and Megatron. The film charts their relationship from close friends to sworn enemies. Directed by Josh Cooley, “Transformers One” hits theaters Friday.
