Savannah Chrisley Says Colleges Need to ‘Make Dorms Great Again' After She Went ‘Overboard’ Making Over Grayson’s Room
“It's just, it's so gross. It's like that nasty brown color," Savannah said of college dorms
Savannah Chrisley is still coming to terms with the fact that her younger brother Grayson Chrisley is a college student.
In the latest episode of her Unlocked podcast titled “Grayson's Bama Adventures,” the Chrisley Knows Best star, 27, was joined by her sibling, 18, after he completed his first month of college at the University of Alabama.
During their conversation, Savannah couldn’t help but share how Grayson's dorm was not up to her interior design standards.
Grayson recalled how “every day” there would be “another Target trip” as his big sister helped him get ready for life away from home as a college student.
“But are you prepared?” she asked, to which Grayson admitted he was “Overly prepared.”
For Savannah, it was all worth it for her baby brother to have a place to put all of his snacks.
However, Grayson said that compared to his friends who "don't have the extra furniture and stuff,” his sister's purchases made his dorm feel a bit smaller.
“Well, they're just not prepared,” she joked.
Correcting her, Grayson added, “No. They're prepared. Their parents just didn't go buy furniture and put it together in the door.”
Savannah insisted that everything in his room had a purpose: “You needed something to go under your bed to hold all your stuff. I mean, you've got all your snacks in there.”
She also referred to the dorm furniture as “disgusting.”
“It's not that bad,” Grayson said.
Though the dorms may be suitable for the college freshman, Savannah said it was so bad that she wanted to use “wallpaper” to spruce it up.
Unfazed by his sister’s need to redecorate, Grayson teased, “She went a little overboard.”
“It's just, it's so gross. It's like that nasty brown color. Oh my God, no,” Savannah said, adding, “We need to make dorms great again, you know?”
“Have they ever been great?” Grayson asked. “You can't make something great again if they've never been great.”

This isn’t Savannah’s first time expressing her displeasure about her younger brother going off to college.
"You want to go so you can go to football games and so you can party. You can't even get up," she told her brother in an April 2024 Unlocked episode. "It would be different if you could keep your room clean [or] if you could get up to an alarm clock. You're wanting to go to college, but you can't even do the basic, bare minimum."
