SAS Australia viewers turn on 'villain' Firass Dirani: 'Get out'

It may be one of the most extreme and challenging reality TV shows out there but viewers have turned on one of the SAS Australia contestants after yet another disrespectful comment.

Last night, Firass Dirani, who has found himself in trouble with the staff on numerous occasions, nearly had the directing staff (DS) coming down hard on the whole team after they were left unimpressed with his attitude.

During the show, Firass was overheard by the DS aying that he couldn’t wait to get into the freezing cold water. His comment infuriated the DS, who sent him into the icy lake up to his neck as punishment.

Viewers took to Twitter to express their shock at Firass, who later that episode ended up in an altercation with a fed up Merrick Watts, who begged him to stop talking back.

“Is it just me or is Firass getting some sort of sick pleasure out of this??,” one person wrote online.

“I’m Firass I want to continue being a liability for my team. Get out dude,” another person said.

“Firass looked like a naughty child, back chatting to his dad,” a commenter wrote.

“Firass and his attitude may have eclipsed COVID as my least liked thing of 2020,” another said.

Back in camp, Merrick fired back at Firass, telling him: “We’re f***ing sick of this sh*t,” going on to call him out for being “disrespectful” to the staff.

In a piece to the camera, Firass said: “Authority – I have a problem with it. Especially if they’re shouting at me. Commanding things of me. I don’t know if that really sits well with me it’s never sat well.”

After the show went to air last week, Firass accused Channel Seven of painting him out to be the ‘villain’.

“I knew it. I knew they were gonna make me into the villain. There has to be a villain, ladies and gentleman, and lo and behold, right here, this is it.”
