Sarah Palin's Daughter Bristol Reveals 'Crazy' Health Condition That Left Her 'Paralyzed'

Bristol Palin is struggling with a mysterious case of facial paralysis.

As the 34-year-old daughter of former Alaskan governor Sarah Palin explained in a series of videos shared to her Instagram Stories on Wednesday, Jan. 29, she started exhibiting symptoms a little over a week ago.

“I woke up nine days ago with a little weird sensation in my face,” Palin said in one clip. “My mouth was pulling this way and it just felt a little off. So I went, looked in the mirror. I’m like ‘Wow. This is looking a little weird.’”

“Within a couple of hours, the entire left side of my face was numb and just paralyzed," she continued. "I couldn’t really blink my eye, definitely had no movement on the side of my face. So crazy.”

After going to the doctor and getting a CT scan in addition to a number of other tests, Palin was given “steroids and other medications.”

“Nothing came back, they think it’s just a case of Bell’s palsy maybe brought on by stress or lack of sleep," she explained. "I think it was brought on by stress.”

With the help of acupuncture, the mother of three started to feel a "little better" after eight days.

“I know I look crazy right now, but this has been such an improvement from what I was looking like,” she said in one video. “I’m finally starting to get some of the sensation back. It’s been a little painful the last two days...It’s a good indication that it’s getting better. Praise the lord!"

“But the next time that I look in the mirror and I pick myself apart where it’s like, ‘Oh my nose is long. I want a nose job. I want to do this. I want to do that,’ I am going to remember this and I am just going to be so thankful for a normal functioning face cause this has been wild,” Palin added.
