Samantha Armytage accuses Kevin Rudd of snubbing her on air
Samantha Armytage has accused former Prime Minister Kevin Rudd of snubbing her live on air.
The 44-year-old was interviewing Rudd over a video call on Monday morning’s Sunrise alongside her co-host Kochie.
However, at the end of the interview, Samantha Armytage bid the former PM farewell, only for him to appear to thank and say goodbye to Kochie instead.
In a clip posted to the Sunrise star’s Instagram, Sam can be heard saying: “OK Kevin Rudd, thank for your time today, we appreciate it.”

Kevin Rudd could be seen saluting the star, then saying: “Good to be with you, thanks Kochie.”
Samantha seemed taken aback and shook her head slightly as they moved on to the next segment.
Taking to the caption of the video, Samantha wrote: “It appears I am....... invisible. (And for the record: I interview people I don’t agree with alllll the time, but I always try to be polite)”
Fans were divided in the comments section, with many calling the sign-off “rude” while others said she had misinterpreted his farewell.
“Sam maybe they cut him off before he said your name,” one fan wrote, to which Sam replied: “No. They didn’t.”
“I think his "Good to be with you" was aimed at you Sam, and the "Thanks Kochie" was aimed at Kochie,” another person commented, with others agreeing, saying that was how they also interpreted his farewell message.
However, others agreed with Sam, with one person calling the goodbye message “rude and inconsequential”.
