Ryan Seacrest Fans Celebrate His New Year's Eve Career Milestone
Ryan Seacrest always has something in the works, and he's celebrating one of his most well-loved TV gigs with quite a big milestone!
As fans are well aware, the media mogul is super busy hosting Wheel of Fortune and American Idol on television. Well, every New Year's Eve, Ryan also becomes the emcee for ABC's Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve, which has been on the air live from New York City since 1973. He joined the annual celebration alongside Dick Clark back in 2005, and he's been part of the hours-long show ever since.
Now, after two decades of being the host of Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve, Ryan is marking a major milestone with the program. Not only will he be back as the co-host of the show (alongside new American Idol judge Carrie Underwood), he also will mark his 20th time being the face of the series. What's more, New Year's Rockin' Eve's official Instagram chose to commemorate the special moment for Ryan with a video montage ahead of the 2025 broadcast.
"20 years of iconic countdowns with @ryanseacrest! 🎉✨," read the caption on December 13. "Join us as we celebrate his two-decade legacy on #RockinEve! Don’t miss the party → New Year’s Eve at 8/7c on @abc!"
When folks learned Ryan would be celebrating a TV milestone in his career, it was no surprise how fast they congratulated him in the comments.
"20 years this is fantastic, hope to see you do another 30 years! Now dim the lights! ❤️❤️❤️," one person wrote. "That’s amazing! You do such a great job @ryanseacrest I hope to get there one year to see the ball drop! It’s on my bucket list," another declared. "To Ryan, the best man for the job," a different follower added.
Now, how will this version of New Year's Rockin' Eve be different than Ryan's shows of years past? Along with Carrie helping co-lead the festivities to ring in 2025, ABC reported a number of well-loved singers will make appearances from multiple parts of the country.
From New York City, fans will see TLC light up Times Square with a special performance, while Blake Shelton will perform from Las Vegas. Among other famous faces, appearances will include Alanis Morissette, Reneé Rapp, Natasha Bedingfield and more live on the West Coast in Los Angeles.
Congrats!
