Ryan Murphy Makes a Bold Declaration About Taylor Swift

If Ryan Murphy gets his way, Taylor Swift might join Travis Kelce on the small screen someday.

The TV writer has been working with Kelce on the series Grotesquerie, and he recently told The Hollywood Reporter that he's also interested in collaborating with Swift.

"I’ve talked to Taylor’s people about various things through the years, and all I will say is that I think she’s great and if she ever has time to do it, I would do it in a heartbeat," Murphy said.

"I think she’s one of the greats," he boldly declared.

"I was so shy talking to Travis about her. But he’s very sweet about it and respectful," Murphy continued. "They are a pop-culture phenomenon. It’s a very interesting dynamic, the way they’ve captured the imagination of the world. But I always knew Travis could do it. I have this saying: A star is a star is a star. I just knew he could do it. He rolls up his sleeves and he says, 'Ok, let’s do this.'"

If Swift were to sign on to make a cameo in Grotesquerie or another of Murphy's projects, it certainly wouldn't be the first time she dabbled in acting. The pop star has appeared in Cats, Valentine's Day, Amsterdam, Hannah Montana: The Movie, New Girl, The Giver and more, and lent her voice in The Lorax.
