Rumer Willis Shocks Fans With Confession About Her Shower and Sleep Habits
Rumer Willis has been very open about her father's health, her own life and now, her shower and sleep habits.
While appearing on a recent episode of the What in the Winkler podcast, the 36-year-old actress and eldest daughter of Demi Moore and Bruce Willis revealed she enjoys a rather controversial method of bathing and sleeping.
Speaking to host Zoe Winkler Reinis for a feature that initially dropped on Tuesday, Rumer revealed she co-sleeps with her almost 2-year-old daughter and hopes that the trend continues as Louetta gets older.
"Honestly, I hope Lou will, like, still sleep in bed with me when she's my age," Rumer said during the April 1 episode. "I still sleep in bed with my mom, and I don't think it's weird."
"I always think about it as, imagine if you took a baby gorilla or a dog when it was two weeks old or three months old, and had it sleep in a different room than [its] mom. Everyone would look at you like you were crazy. But yet we're like, 'Oh no, that kid can sleep through the night. It's got to fend for themselves, got to learn how to self-soothe,' " Rumer said. "They can't even feed themselves!"
"By the way, we as adults don't even know how to self-soothe,” she continued, “We call a friend. People drink wine, people do drugs, people eat an entire tub of ice cream."
While the American Academy of Pediatrics doesn't recommend sleeping in the same bed as your newborn or infant (and instead implores caregivers to practice "safe sleep," which includes "supine positioning; use of a firm, noninclined sleep surface; room sharing without bed sharing; and avoidance of soft bedding and overheating"), this wasn't what shocked fans.

It was what she said next that had some social media users asking, "What did I just read?"
Speaking of her younger sisters—Scout, 33, and Tallulah, 31—Rumer revealed that the three “all still take baths together.”
“And that's just the kind of house that I grew up in,” she explained. "People might think that that's crazy and weird, but I don't."
Rumer was right with her prediction, as several listeners took to social media to question the claim.
"Go away.. i did not need to know this," one joked.
"Okay what should I do to this information?" another quipped.
"Ok now I think y'all weird," a third wrote in part.
"No one needed to know this," one more quipped.
Along with Rumer, Scout and Tallulah, Bruce shares two younger daughters—Mabel, 12, and Evelyn, 10—with his wife of 16 years, Emma Heming Willis.
