Ruffles Limited-Edition Chip Flavor Gets Warning From Fans
A limited-edition flavor of Ruffles has once again been spotted in stores, but fans suggest those who have never tried the variety yield to this warning.
The Frito-Lay brand of potato chips is famous for its ridged texture, but it has also become notorious for spinoffs, like its Greek-inspired ranch, fan-favorite All Dressed, and its "swicy" Korean-style chili flavor. Now, it's bringing back another once-popular variety: Ruffles Honey Habanero.

The returning favorite was recently spotted in-store, with one eagle-eyed reviewer picking them up late last week.
"Those chips are too spicy for me 🥵 damn near took me out," Instagram influencer KDSnackFindsjoked in the April 9 upload, later explaining in the comments that "all I had was two of them and the spice hits immediately."
"Not took you out 😂😂😂😂…Thanks for the warning though ⚠️," one fan wrote back before a second quipped, "Ok my type of chips 👏."
The heat-packed Ruffles flavor was first released a few years ago before disappearing sometime toward the end of 2023. When the lineup was first released, reviewers were quick to comment on the heat of the habanero pepper, so it doesn't look like anyone has to worry about a detectable recipe update.
Those looking to get their hands on the spicy chip are in luck as it's back for a limited time and has already been spotted at Dierbergs Market locations as well as is listed online at Walmart, Kroger, and Snacks.com. Ruffles Honey Habanero is expected to be released at most major retailers that stock the brand.
