Rove's cheeky swipe at Karl Stefanovic ahead of wedding to Jasmine

Rove McManus is known for his cheeky comedy, and nothing stopped him from making a remark that would raise eyebrows when he walked the AACTA Awards red carpet on Wednesday.

The 44-year-old comedian was one of many Australian stars at the prestigious film and TV awards in Sydney, while TV presenter Karl Stefanovic and his closest friends and family are abroad in Mexico ahead of his wedding to Jasmine Yarbrough.

Not fazed at all he’s missing Karl’s highly anticipated star-studded wedding, Rove joked to Yahoo Lifestyle: “That’s alright, I’ll make the next one”. Ouch!

Rove has previously appeared on Today which Karl famously hosts, but in more recent times he’s shared more screen time with Lisa Wilkinson, who famously left Today to join Channel Ten’s The Project, produced by Rove’s company, Roving Enterprises.

Karl, 44, is currently in LA with his fiancée and the three kids he shares with ex Cassandra Thorburn, Jackson, 19, Ava, 13, and River, 11.

Jasmine and Karl are said to be tying the knot on December 8 at an exclusive resort in Los Cabos, favoured by celebrities like Jennifer Aniston.
