Yahoo Lifestyle Robert Irwin’s Fans Say He Transformed From Clark Kent to Superman in Arm Wrestling Video: ‘Ultimate Flex’
Robert Irwin’s fans are pretty sure they just witnessed a momentous transformation in a new video that the Australian conservationist posted on social media.
The incident occurred during Irwin’s recent appearance on the Australian talk show The Project. At one point during his time on the show, co-host Sam Taunton issued an unexpected challenge.
“I reckon I could beat you in an arm wrestle,” Taunton told the son of the late Steve Irwin.
The 21-year-old flashed a grin as he asked, “You reckon?” Irwin then invited Taunton to an arm wrestling competition “right here, right now.” He shed the gray jacket he was wearing, revealing the white T-shirt he wore beneath and his muscled arms.
The competition that followed was over in less than 10 seconds, with Irwin claiming victory. “You good? You good?” Irwin asked Taunton as he applauded the effort and flexed for effect.
“I hope my girlfriend wasn’t watching that,” Taunton commented after he walked back to his seat on the show’s set.
“Always a fun time stopping by to see my mates at The Project… Sam, an honourable effort there 💪😂,” the wildlife photographer wrote when he shared the arm wrestling video on TikTok on Sunday, Feb. 23.
Fans who left comments on the post didn’t seem surprised by the outcome, with one writing, “the moment Robert took off his jacket, it was over.”
“Taking off the jacket was some kinda Clarke Kent/Superman switcheroo, where did those muscles come from?!” another fan said.
“As soon as Robert said ‘you reckon?’ Just the look on his face said are you serious?” one TikTok user wrote while another commented, “That ‘you good? you good?’ Is the ultimate flex! 🤣🤣🤣.”
Many fans pointed out that Irwin “wrestles with crocs - you think he can’t take you? 🤣.”
“This man wrangles crocs and constrictors, he is hella strong,” one fan wrote while another wondered, “do people not know he wrestles gators like his dad😂 guy doesn't do anything but carry animals all the time ofc he has muscles!”
“Robert was so excited and knew he wasn’t getting beat. 🤣,” another fan observed.
