Yahoo Lifestyle Rob Lowe’s Lookalike Son Trolls Dad in Savage Red Carpet Moment
Rob Lowe's son, John Owen Lowe, is following in his famous footsteps.
The 60-year-old star accompanied his 29-year-old son on the red carpet for the Los Angeles premiere of his new movie, Grace Point, on Thursday, Jan. 30—and John couldn't help but have a little fun at his dad's expense.
As the pair posed for pics, John held a whiteboard with his father's name written on it as if he needed to be identified for photographers. Rob played along, pretending to look exasperated while gesturing at the sign. The Parks and Recreation actor's other son, Matthew Edward Lowe, 31, was also at the premiere to support his brother.

According to the Daily Mail, John appears in Grace Point alongside Rob's St. Elmo's Fire co-star, Andrew McCarthy. This is his first leading role in a movie.
According to the film's official synopsis, John plays "troubled teen Brandon Hayes," who is driven by his father (McCarthy) to a "remote rehab facility in the wilderness."
"On the way, they stop for gas in the town of Grace Point. Winston has a violent altercation, and is seriously wounded. Brandon captures the incident on his cell phone and is now on the run, all while detoxing. With the help of a mysterious stranger played by Jim Parrack (True Blood, 911 Lonestar,) Brandon must save his father, while dealing with the trauma of his past."
John has appeared on the small screen alongside his real-life dad in the past, including a recurring role on Rob's Fox sitcom The Grinder and a starring turn in the 2023 Netflix comedy series Unstable.
Rob previously called working with his son a "fantastic" experience, according to People.
He shares both of his sons with wife Sheryl Berkoff, whom he wed in 1991.
