Rita Ora Looked Unrecognizable With Her New Bleached Pixie Mullet
Rita, is that you?
Rita Ora, is that really you?
The pop star made an appearance at last night's Fashion Awards at London's Royal Albert Hall looking completely unrecognizable with a brand new look. Ora's bold new trim featured a bleach blonde pixie with shorter sides and longer pieces on the top, which she wore swept up in a spiky, windswept style. Even more surprising was the curly mullet at the back.
Ora's hairstylist, Rio Sreedharan, posted a snap of the dramatic look on his Instagram stories.
Ora paired her bold new 'do with an equally bold menswear-inspired look. Styled by Pippa Atkinson, the singer wore an oversized gray blazer over a striped shirt, a pink polkadot tie and a pair of wide leg tailored trousers that grazed the floor. She went for a maximalist look with her accessories, wearing an array of chunky antique rings and bracelets from Woven Gardens Jewelry in London.
As for her beauty look, Ora opted for bleached brows to match her new hair along with a dramatic dark red lip.
Later in the evening, Ora swapped out her suit for a bright patterned dress with a sheer chest paired with a black fuzzy jacket and a pair of knee-high black boots with a series of buckled straps up the front.
Ora's hair transformation comes alongside the launch of her new haircare line, TYPEBEA, which is designed to help with hair loss. "I have very thin hair… but then I’m Eastern European, so I have very thick eyebrow hair, annoyingly, so I always have tweezers in my bag," she told the Evening Standard earlier this year. Despite her thin hair, she has always enjoyed trying new looks. "I’ve always loved changing my hair up and colouring it — my biggest inspiration growing up was Gwen Stefani, and I wanted her iconic bleached hair." It seems that Ora has finally taken the plunge and gone for that Stefani-inspired look.
