Ringside Studios Teams With ‘Tokyo Vice’ Producer Alex Boden To Launch Services Firm Tetra & Joins Netflix Japan Film ’10Dance’
Ringside Studios is teaming with Tokyo Vice producer Alex Boden to create a production services business, as it boards Netflix Japan feature 10Dance.
Tetra, which Gub Neal’s Ringside and Boden will jointly run, is offering a full range of service to high-end TV (HETV) and film productions, from co-production and physical production to creative management and executive producer duties. It will also look to access UK and European incentives through Ringside’s parent Newen Studios.

Boden, known for productions such as Tokyo Vice and Sense8, will work with Ringside’s Lee Thomas (Industry, No Escape) at Tetra.
This comes as Ringside joins Netflix film 10Dance, providing UK production and casting services to producer Episcope Inc. Keishi Otomo’s film is based on a manga comic of the same name and set in the world of ballroom dancing.
Principal photography begins in Japan this month before moving to the UK in early 2025.
“With production costs remaining stubbornly high in the U.S., and production incentives in UK and Europe increasingly attractive there is a real opportunity to capitalise on the wonderful pool of talent we have here in the UK to make these fantastic projects happen at a price point that should please everybody,” said Ringside founder and Creative Director Neal.
In addition to production services, Tetra will provide access to finance through its existing partnerships with financiers, which will help cashflow productions and complete financing.
Industry veteran Jeremy Gawade will assist on sourcing and structuring deals and provide production advice, while U.S. media exec Gina Marcheschi will provide consultancy services to the venture from across the pond.
“With productions increasingly aware of the benefits of filming internationally, and chasing finance to reach green light, now is the perfect time to be delivering financial solutions backed by producing expertise,” said Boden.
“Our highly experienced producing and executive team work at all budget levels across film and HETV,” added Thomas. “We aim to help you amplify your vision with tailored support to any production looking to exploit the many benefits of filming in the UK and Europe.”
