Ricki Lake, 54, unrecognisable in nude bath picture: 'So beautiful'

If you grew up in the '90s, Ricki Lake will likely be a very familiar face. The star became one of the youngest women ever to host a daytime TV show at the age of 24.

Now, at the age of 54, Ricki’s 266,000 Instagram followers have applauded the star online after she uploaded a completely nude snap to her account.

The photo shows Ricki sitting in an outdoor bathtub, surrounded by trees and hugging her arms across her chest. Water flows from a tap beside her as she looks up into the sun.

“Hands down, these days are the best of my life,” Ricki wrote.

“54 1/2 years old (young!) Grateful for all that had to happen for me to get to here. A place of complete self-acceptance and self love.

Ricki then directly addressed her husband, Ross Burningham, writing: “Ross, you make every adventure the most fun ever. Oh and #millvalley is the shit!”

Ricki’s followers loved the snap, with one person writing: “Beautiful inside and out!”

“Absolutely love this!!!! So beautiful!” another wrote, with a third writing: “What a gorgeous pic of you! You are inspirational!”.

What happened to Ricki Lake?

Ricki Lake’s highly successful show, “The Ricki Lake Show,” ran from 1993 to 2004, with a second attempt at a talk show by the star flopping in 2013.

In 2011, Ricki appeared on the 13th season of Dancing With The Stars, before trying her hand at musical performance in 2016, with a cameo appearance in the live performance of the TV musical Hairspray.

In 2019, she stunned viewers when she was revealed as The Raven on The Masked Singer.

Now Ricki, along with her business partner, Abby Epstein, is invested in the success of her media company, The Business Of, which centres around reproductive health.

“The revelation that pregnant people were unaware of their childbirth options ignited a passion in Ricki and Abby to lift the veil on other areas of reproductive health. After examining birth culture in America, they began investigating the business of hormonal contraceptives and the lack of birth control options,” the website states.

Ricki Lake's personal life

Ricki married lawyer Ross Burningham in January 2022 after a one-year engagement. The star stunned in an orange dress and a flower crown as she said 'I do'.

The former talk show host was previously married to illustrator Rob Sussman from 1994 to 2004, with the couple welcoming Sons Milo and Owen together.

In 2012, Ricki married designer Christian Evans, however, the pair parted ways in 2015.
