RHOP' Star Karen Huger Sentenced To One Year in Prison Following DUI Verdict

The Real Housewives of Potomac star Karen Huger's sentencing has finally been revealed, two months after her guilty DUI verdict. The reality TV star was sentenced to two years in prison by a Montgomery County, Maryland judge with one year suspended during a court appearance on Wednesday, per E! News. This means Huger will likely be in jail for 12 months.

As E! News reports, the prosecutors originally asked the judge for "two years in prison with six months suspended," citing her previous three DUIs.

The Real Housewives of Potomac star was found guilty in December of last year after being charged with a DUI in March, as we reported at the time. The "Grande Dame" was involved in a "single vehicle collision" in the spring of 2024,  with law enforcement confirming to People at the time that she "crossed a median and struck multiple street signs but was not injured at the time of the crash."

At the time, the reality star had received multiple citations including a DUI and DWI, "negligently driving a vehicle in a careless and imprudent manner endangering property, life, and person, as well as recklessly driving a vehicle in wanton and willful disregard for the safety of persons and property," among other charges.

This comes just as the third and final episode of The Real Housewives of Potomac reunion is set to air on Bravo this Sunday. Huger noticeably skipped the reunion this time around, choosing to seek treatment at a private rehab facility as she awaited her sentencing. Her castmates have yet to publicly comment on the news.
