“RHONY” Star Erin Lichy Mourns the Death of Her Father: 'Love You Forever'
"We will make you proud and carry out your legacy. We love you eternally," Lichy wrote in an Instagram post announcing her father's death
Erin Lichy is mourning the death of her father.
The Real Housewives of New York City star, 37, revealed that her father Eliahu Yitzhari passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 1.
In an Instagram tribute, Lichy remembered Yitzhari by sharing a lengthy message and a carousel of several photos, old and new. “My heart and soul. My best friend, my courage, my strength, my superpower,” the caption began.
“How grateful I feel to have had you as a parent to guide me, to uplift me, to teach me how to live life to the absolute fullest. Your generosity is unmatched and I have learned not only how many people you helped silently but what a lasting impression your kindness left," she continued. "Knowing I won’t see you laugh again or sing to me on the opposite end of the phone is a heartbreak I did not know existed, but somehow I know you are still there. You have given me the greatest gift and I cannot feel anything but sincerely grateful to you for being my father.”
Reflecting on her father's “last days,” Lichu recalled: “You said to me '״בלי אהבה, לא שווה כלו' - Without Love, Nothing is Worth Living For. I cried so hard for the natural beauty of that sentence that you so freely let fall from your lips.”
“Your soul is pure,” she continued. “A genuine, happy, loving energy and you gave us 5 a piece of that. You left this world so beautifully, with your children by your side until the very end, and you made it very clear that your dying wish was that us 5, your legacy, stick together. We will honor you every single day.”
Lichy concluded by calling her father the Hebrew word for “daddy,” writing, “I love you forever my Abba, my angel.”
The first image in Lichy's tribute showed her as a child sitting on her dad’s lap. The second featured her on his shoulders laughing. She also shared a message thanking Yitzhari for his presence in her life.
“When I started to see that my dad was declining, one thing kept running through my mind — the words thank you,” she wrote. “It was an honor to be his daughter.”

She went on to praise him for “believing in me” and for treating his children “like the center of the universe.” She then thanked him for calling her every day and pushing her to embrace her “strength to use my mind as control over my life.”
Mentioning her four other siblings, she also thanked her dad for teaching them to be “a unit” that “will continue to be 5 branches together.”
"We will make you proud and carry out your legacy. We love you eternally,” it ended.
More photos followed the penned note, including a heartwarming snap from her wedding, Yitzhari with her two kids and some sweet text messages he had sent her.
“You are a great mom, I’m proud of you,” one read.
“I forgot to tell you… I love you,” said another.
