“RHOC”: Alexis Bellino Sends Shannon Beador an 'Olive Branch' as Ex John Janssen Returns to Show
“I feel like there's been a lot of unkind things done and I have no interest in being friendly with her," Shannon said of Alexis
Nothing can change Shannon Beador’s feelings about Alexis Bellino — not even an olive branch.
Shannon celebrated her 60th birthday on the Oct. 3 episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County, and absent (as expected) from the tea party was Alexis. Still, Alexis decided to send Shannon a gift with a message, but it wasn’t received well.
“Happy 60th,” Shannon read the card aloud to the group. “I genuinely hope this olive branch can bring you a fresh start as you begin this new decade. May god bless you with happiness and good health on this milestone.”
As Shannon sat next to a bouquet of flowers with an olive branch sticking out, she explained to the other women that she was not going to make amends with Alexis and didn’t want to talk about her anymore.
“It’s nine weeks too late,” Shannon explained. “I feel like there's been a lot of unkind things done and I have no interest in being friendly with her and I don't think anywhere in the universe anyone in my position would feel differently.”
Shannon went on to say that her ex John Janssen, who is now dating Alexis, must have been her “coach” who told her to send the note.
“The coming after me didn't work so now the coach is saying that, ‘You've gotta be overly nice to her,’” Shannon quipped.
“Oh my god, we’re gonna blame it on John,” Tamra Judge said in her confessional. “This is what Shannon does. Why can’t Alexis just send her flowers to be nice?”
“Shannon’s exhausting,” Tamra continued.
Shannon then drafted a text to send Alexis about the upcoming cast trip to London that she was planning, but the ladies told her she was being too harsh. The next day, Jenn Pedranti and Katie Ginella went to Alexis’ house to tell her about the trip, but Shannon had already sent the message.
“My last effort was to extend an olive branch. Unfortunately, I keep hitting a brick wall,” Alexis said before reading the text.
“Hello, Alexis, it’s Shannon Beador. I am hosting a trip to Europe with my friends and just wanted to make it clear that you are not invited,” it read. “That should be quite understandable given the circumstances. Thank you for the flowers, but I am not interested in any olive branch.”
With tears filling her eyes, Alexis said that she is “done” trying to bring “peace” to the group. “You know what, I've tried it on all girls,” she told Katie and Jenn. “Now I'm f---ing done. What is she so hung up on?”
As Katie explained that the lawsuit was weighing heavily on Shannon, Jenn added, “It's very hard. If you guys were just moving on that would be different.”
“Her actions have caused all this,” Alexis snapped back. “If she didn’t borrow the money and she had paid it back, we wouldn't be in this position, would we?”
John then appeared in front of cameras after vowing not to be on this season of RHOC. Explaining in a confessional alongside Alexis why he filed a lawsuit against Shannon for $75k in loans for a facelift, John said he felt he had no choice.
“I didn't want to take legal action, but my hands were tied as I was days away from crossing the statute of limitations of being able to do anything legally,” he revealed. “[Shannon] 100% knew these were loans, I have proof of that. Shannon sent me an email admitting it was a loan, so the comments about these being gifts are patently false.”
“Shannon has an interesting relationship with the truth,” he claimed.
As Alexis looked over Shannon’s message again, she said, “This is unbelievable,” and cried.
While Jenn and Katie pleaded with her to stay friends with the group, Alexis repeated that she was “done.” She then got up and opened the front door, ushering the women out.
“I love you guys, thank you for being the horrible communicators,” Alexis began before Jenn finished her sentence: “Of the horrible news.”
Moments later, Alexis slammed the door and went upstairs — where John was waiting for her — sobbing. “That’s bulls---,” Jenn told Katie.
“We didn't want to come over here and do this,” Katie responded, with Jenn adding, “Somebody had to tell her.”
As the episode came to an end, Alexis could be heard saying, “F--- them.”
