In a press release about the news, Melissa Blette, senior brand manager at Reese's, began by saying, "Reese's is all about having fun. Teasing the idea of us 'getting into the sandwich business' was a playful way to spark conversation."

She went on, "All kidding aside, this was the most obvious next move for us. PB&J is an all-time classic, and Reese's was always the missing piece—so we fixed it!"

Reese's also revealed the news on social media, sharing a nice visual of the new treat. Fans were hyped over the news, with reactions like, "Can’t wait 😍," "🔥🔥," and "😍😍😍😍🔥🔥🔥🔥💖💖💖💖."

The new PB&J Big Cups come in grape and strawberry variations for fans of both classic jelly flavors. The treats are reportedly available for a limited time at stores in standard, king, and snack size multipacks. The new flavors were teased earlier, but reports claimed that they would hit shelves in the summer.

Only a day before the exciting announcement, Reese's took part in April Fools' Day by joking that the brand was releasing Chocolatey Bread and Creamy Reese's Peanut Butter, which fans seemed interested in actually trying.
