Reese Witherspoon's Winterized LBD Featured an Unexpected Sparkly Detail
A touch of glamour ahead of the holiday season.
The little black dress is the one fashion staple that never goes out of style, no matter the season. It's perfect for cooler months like spring, an edgier choice for the summer months, and a true closet staple for fall and winter when getting dolled up can feel more like a chore. Reese Witherspoon put the latter to the test, wearing a fitted LBD with a playful twist.
The Legally Blonde actress attended the iMentor 25th Anniversary Champions Dinner at The Metropolitan Museum of Art on November 13 in New York City and kept her look classy. For the occasion, she wore her LBD fitted to accentuate her waist, but the dress has a few details to add visual interest—the neckline dipped into an angular surplice shape at her right shoulder, and at the criss cross of the fabric, a sparking line of gemstones cut across her chest.
Witherspoon kept the rest of her look clean and simple, pairing the look with simple black heels. Up top, she wore sparkling diamond earrings and her signature blonde hair in loose, face-framing waves. As for her beauty look, the 48-year-old went for a fresh and glowy complexion, mascara, and a sheer pink lip.
This marks Witherspoon's second LBD moment in recent weeks. On October 29, she attended the 2024 WSJ Innovators Awards at Museum of Modern Art.
At that event, she went for a sleeveless LBD, also fitted to accentuate her figure, that featured a ruffled detail at the hips. Her 21-year-old son, Deacon Phillippe, attended alongside her as her plus one for the night.
