Reese Witherspoon is growing her network!
This week, the Legally Blonde star shared an unexpected update to let fans know that she has officially arrived on the professional network website, LinkedIn.
In a new post shared to Instagram on Thursday, Jan. 23, Witherspoon introduced fans to her "brand new LinkedIn" page, where she plans to share more about her media company Hello Sunshine, and its mission of storytelling.
In the post, the 48-year-old actress included a montage video with different clips of her talking about finding, creating and telling stories that highlight women's resilience. In her caption, she said that her venture on LinkedIn is a way to share more about "the stories we're telling, the lessons I've learned along the way, and the perspectives I've gained from years of building a business rooted in storytelling."
In her first-ever LinkedIn post, Witherspoon wrote, "As an actor and producer, I've spent years immersed in storytelling. But one of my biggest passions—and what led me to create Hello Sunshine—is making sure women's stories are seen, heard, and celebrated."
"For too long, women were cast as side characters, waiting for someone else to take the lead. I knew we could do better," she continued.
"I can't wait to dive into conversations about what matters most—and connect with all of you who are out there creating, leading and making change happen."
She concluded the post by telling her new LinkedIn connections, "Let me know in the comments what else you'd be curious to learn more about from me. Let's get started!"
The Big Little Lies alum was met with a warm welcome on LinkedIn, including a message from the platform.
"Welcome 👋 Here's to celebrating resilience, breaking barriers, and bringing women’s stories to the forefront!" LinkedIn wrote. "Looking forward to diving into these conversations and learning from your journey ✨."
