Reba McEntire Reacts to Kelly Clarkson's 'Beautiful Rendition' of 'Till You Love Me'
When Kelly Clarkson covers a song on her Kellyoke segment of The Kelly Clarkson Show, some artists panic. The vocal powerhouse is a force to be reckoned with, and has proven her vocal prowess across nearly every genre.
However, there are some artists that even Clarkson can't rattle, and Reba McEntire is one of them. This week, Clarkson covered McEntire's iconic ballad, "Till You Love Me." Of course, Clarkson's performance was flawless and could easily stand alone. Reba had nothing but kind words for her fellow songstress and former daughter-in-law, but we wouldn't expect anything less from queen Reba!
"Thanks KC for covering my song #TillYouLoveMe on your show today! Did y'all catch her beautiful rendition? 😍," McEntire gushed, reposting Clarkson's cover on her Instagram story.
Fans had plenty to say about Clarkson's impressive cover! "One of my favorite Reba songs!!! ❤️❤️ My god.. She can sing ANYTHING!!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻," "You did her proud, as always. 🥹" and "I would freaking love it if Kelly would release some of the covers! This classic Reba cover is perfect!," fans commented under The Kelly Clarkson Show post.
Other fans (understandably) begged Clarkson to release a country album. "We need the country album already, girl. Please!" and "we still need that KC country album," they wrote.
Reba and Kelly go way back both personally and professionally. Of course, Clarkson and Reba's stepson Brandon Blackstock were previously married and share two children together. (Reba and Brandon's father, Narvel Blackstock, divorced in 2015.)
Their split didn't seem to negatively impact Reba and Kelly's relationship. Reba even appeared as a special guest on season one of The Kelly Clarkson Show in 2019.
Now if only we could convince Kelly Clarkson to make a country album featuring Reba!
