The reason Cyrell throws her drink at Martha at MAFS reunion
She was nicknamed ‘Cyclone Cyrell’ after her onscreen antics saw her squabble with fellow bride, Martha Kalifatidis, on Married At First Sight.
And now the surprising cause of the pair’s upcoming altercation has been revealed ahead of the series’ final reunion dinner party.
Martha’s husband Michael is apparently at the centre of the commotion after Cyrell accuses him of not standing up for himself, which in turn sparks a reaction from his onscreen wife.
Infuriated by the suggestion her husband is submissive, Martha is believed to quickly ‘throw a glass of wine’ at her co-star.
“Cyrell then throws her wine (at Martha) and all hell breaks loose,” an on-set source told New Idea.
“Both women are left soaked, but Cyrell, still furious, takes off chasing Martha around the table ready for a fight. The boys have to step in to hold her back.”
Meanwhile Woman’s Day claims there’s a different reason for the explosive showdown.
“Derogatory comments are made about Martha’s face, resulting in Martha pouring a glass of wine over Cyrell’s head,” an insider tells the publication.
“Cyrell is like a bull to red and lunges at Martha, but Sam manages to restrain her. It gets wild!”
The revelation follows an explosive preview which shows Martha rush from the table with a red wine stain on her dress.
Moments later, Cyrell makes a quick attempt to charge towards her co-star before having to be restrained by Sam Ball and Mike Gunner.
Adding more fuel to the rumours of upcoming drama was Martha, who attributed her differences with Cyrell to their different levels of relationship success while on the show.
“Watching the show back, she always saw Michael by my side and sticking up for me and she just didn’t have that with Nic [Jovanovic],” she told TV Week.
“I think that’s why she has so much resentment towards me – because she wanted what I had.”
