Quinta Brunson Is Wearing the Chicest Liquid Black Mermaid Dress to the 2024 Emmys

Not many people get nominated for more than one award at the same show, but Quinta Brunson is a member of that elite squad. The multi-hyphenate showed up to the 2024 Emmys (where she's nominated for Best Actress in a Comedy Series, Best Comedy Series, and Best Writing for a Comedy Series) wearing an unbelievably cool iridescent mermaid gown that looked like literal liquid.

Quinta celebrated Abbot Elementary's many noms on Instagram over the summer, writing "BEYOND proud of Abbott’s 9 Emmy nominations, including outstanding comedy series: ) thank you @televisionacad! And thank you to our fans, who we share this celebratory day with! Love ya’ll!"

As a reminder, Quinta was nominated for the same three Emmy categories back in 2022, and won Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series. And THEN in 2023, she casually won Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series.

This year in the Best Comedy Series category, Abbot Elementary is up against The Bear, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Hacks, Only Murders in the Building, Palm Royale, Reservation Dogs, and What We Do in the Shadows. Meanwhile, Tyler James Williams is nominated in the Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series category, and both Janelle James and Sheryl Lee Ralph are nominated in the Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series category.
