Queen Letizia Adds a Pop of Color to Winter Dressing with a Lime Green Hugo Boss Blazer

Queen Letizia did suiting with a twist for a meeting yesterday in Madrid. The royal added a bold pop of color to an otherwise black ensemble.

Queen Letizia wore a lime green blazer by Hugo Boss beneath a black Carolina Herrera coat while visiting the AECC (Spanish Association Against Cancer). She paired the blazer and coat with a black top and a pair of black trousers. She completed the look with a pair of lug sole loafers by Hugo Boss and silver hoop earrings by Singularu, and toted Carolina Herrera’s Doma Insignia satchel bag.

Queen Letizia wore a similar look last February, pairing her Hugo Boss blazer with a black overcoat from Mango, a pair of high-heel suede boots, and a croc-embossed clutch from Uterque. She also wore that blazer and Mango coat combination in November of 2023 while traveling with King Felipe to Denmark for a state visit.

Queen Letizia has favored tailored pieces from Mango over the years, and wore a suit by Mango in December to the closing of the 17th “International Seminar on Language and Journalism,” organized by Fundéurae and the San Millán de la Cogolla Foundation. The royal wore a grey double-breasted blazer with matching trousers and a black top in the wake of the death of Mango’s founder, Isak Andic, who passed away at 71 years old in Spain on Dec. 14.

Queen Letizia opted to wear Mango this past July when she wore a sleeveless beige Mango dress with an asymmetrical neckline for the XV anniversary of the Princess of Girona Foundation at the Melia Lloret de Mar Hotel on Tuesday in Barcelona. She paired the dress with white sandal heels by Boss and carried a bag courtesy of Carolina Herrera.

Over the years, the royal has made statement suiting her signature. Last week she stepped out in a double-breasted suit in last fall and winter’s breakout color: red. Queen Letizia visited the Cortes de Cádiz school in a fiery pantsuit she paired with chunky black loafers. In September Queen Letizia did power suiting with a lavender twist, wearing a lilac blazer and matching pants by Spanish brand Bleis Madrid. Not to mention, in July Queen Letizia wore a bold blue suit at the Zarzuela Palace in Madrid. For the occasion, she opted to wear a cornflower blue power suit from Women Limited by El Corte Inglés and paired it with Vivobarefoot sneakers and earrings by Gold & Roses.
