A new Cartier exhibition is making its way to the Victoria and Albert Museum (also known as the V&A) in London—and it has a royal connection.

Beyond the exhibition, Cartier itself is royally approved: King Edward VII called the house “the jeweler of kings and the king of jewelers,” and Cartier received a royal warrant as far back as 1902—just two years after it opened its first London store, per The Guardian.

The V&A exhibition, simply called “Cartier,” is the first major London showing of the house’s jewelry and watches in nearly 30 years, according to British Vogue. In addition to Cartier’s famed Tank Watch, the Tutti Frutti collection, and the Panthère, one of the nearly 400 pieces includes the Williamson brooch, commissioned by the late Queen Elizabeth in 1953—just one year into her historic 70-year reign. The brooch features a 23.6 carat pink diamond, one of the largest in the world.

Another royal treasure? The 10.48 carat diamond engagement ring of Princess Grace of Monaco—who was known as Academy Award-winning actress Grace Kelly before her marriage to Prince Rainier III—which she also wore in the 1956 film High Society, the same year she married.

“The idea behind the Cartier Collection was to share the exquisite craftsmanship and the historical evolution of Cartier style with the public,” Pierre Rainero, Cartier’s director of image, style, and heritage, told British Vogue.

Another piece that will drop jaws? The Cartier Scroll Tiara, featuring 1,040 diamonds and the tiara that appeared atop Rihanna’s head on a 2016 W magazine cover. Elsewhere in the collection, a Tank wristwatch once owned by Jacqueline Kennedy and later Kim Kardashian is also featured.

“We really wanted to showcase what has made the maison exceptional,” Rachel Garrahan, the show’s co-curator alongside Helen Molesworth, told British Vogue.

The exhibition opens April 12 and runs until November 16; according to The Guardian, tickets for the first six weeks of the show have already sold out.
