Queen Consort Camilla made a stunning appearance alongside her husband, King Charles III, and her stepson, Prince William, at the Diplomatic Corps Reception at Buckingham Palace, an event of the utmost prestige and lavishness. And, what's a big royal fête without some bling? For the special occasion, Camilla delivered, reaching deep into the royal archives for one of Queen Elizabeth II's rarest tiaras.

Camilla honored Elizabeth by making her debut in what's informally known as the Aquamarine Ribbon Tiara. The coveted headpiece features five emerald-cut aquamarine gems that are connected by a set of diamonds that appear in a ribbon-like formation.

The late monarch wore the tiara just once at a dinner during a royal tour of Canada in 1970, according to The Court Jeweller. Little is known about the piece, including its origin, and, to add to the mystery, it has rarely been worn in public.

Sophie, the Duchess of Edinburgh, is known to fancy aquamarine gems, and has worn the precious tiara on two occasions. She donned it for a pre-wedding dinner before Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume of Luxembourg in 2012 and again for the royal wedding of Princess Madeline of Sweden a year later.

Now, 11 years later, the Aquamarine Ribbon Tiara has once again seen the light of day, atop Camilla's head. Keeping on theme, Camilla wore the centerpiece with a navy-blue gown that featured long sleeves, a V-neckline, a floor-grazing skirt, and a geometric pattern, along with a cerulean-blue sash with the King's Family Order and a midnight-blue clutch. Because you can never have enough aquamarines, she wore her own aquamarine-and-diamond necklace, matching earrings, and a Van Cleef bracelet.

Camilla loves a dramatic tiara moment. She has worn the Greville Tiara, recognized for its honeycomb design and largeness, on multiple occasions since marrying Charles in 2005. She has also debuted several tiaras from Elizabeth's collection since Charles's accession in 2022.

Camilla wore the Burmese Ruby tiara, a stunning piece set with bright rubies, diamonds, and gold in a floral design, during a state banquet at Buckingham Palace in November 2023. The tiara made a fitting choice to celebrate a state visit from South Korea, as red is one of the country's flag colors.
