Pronounce Imagines Clothes Fit for Gentle Warriors in Fall 2025 Collection

Designers Yushan Li and Jun Zhou are settling in Milan after their debut in the city last year, which followed previous showcases in London and Shanghai. The benefits of such a move seem mutual: the Chinese duo is leveraging local visibility while the city’s fashion schedule has won a different and refreshing viewpoint compared to its commercial-oriented focus.

For fall 2025, the designers imagined Asian warriors traveling through time to conjure a lineup that mixed their take on everyday tailoring with edgier, sculptural numbers. Here were gentle soldiers, not afraid to expose neither their vulnerabilities nor flesh.

There was an emphasis on the waist, seen in cropped jackets or body-hugging jersey pieces. “We decided to focus on this part of the body, showing the weakness and softness of people,” said Li.

Their signature reinterpretation of the Mao suit was also cut in jersey for a more fitted effect while jeans were hand-scratched to created contrasting hues and raw textures around the waist. But it was the shape of a series of low-rise pleated pants that stood out in their simplicity, especially when paired with cardigans or knitted polos covered in the rope pattern recurrent in the duo’s work.

The rope-weaving theme was also featured via 3D loopy embellishments that added to chunky crochet dresses and cardigans and to the more experimental hybrids, including sculptural dresses and tops spotlighting different folding techniques in maxi volumes. They belonged more to an exhibition than the streets, but efficiently displayed Li and Zhou’s flair for craft.

The brand also just launched its custom service, which includes the choice of natural stone buttons. “Our clients love to customize and they care about the materials, the cuts but also the energies,” said Zhou, lauding the calming, healing or protecting properties associated to stones such as white jade, gray agate and black obsidian.
