Princess Charlotte looks just like dad William in this childhood snap

Everyone loves a good royal mini-me and now an old childhood photo of Prince William has got royal fans pointing out the striking similarities between the future king and his three-year-old daughter Princess Charlotte.

Royal watchers found the old snap of the Duke of Cambridge at the age of ten going karting at Buckmore Park ‘Playscape’ and quickly compared it to a photo of Princess Charlotte from Princess Eugenie’s wedding.

The side-by-side was shared on a royal fan Instagram account and has quickly received over 16,500 likes.

“Look at this and tell me they don’t look alike,” the caption read.

“Ever since she was little Charlotte has had the “Diana Smirk” which William obviously got from Diana and Charlotte got from her daddy,” the post continued.

“She is definitely daddy’s little lookalike and daddy’s little girl.”

Many quickly agreed that Princess Charlotte and her dad looked almost ‘identical’.

“She looks so much like her beloved Dad,” one person commented.

“Absolutely identical! Such a beautiful little one.”

Many also agreed that both William and Charlotte have gotten their cheeky smirk from Princess Diana.

“I personally this princess charlotte looks like HRH Diana! Those shy downward look, the nose. She’s a darling little princess,” one person wrote.

It’s not the first time William’s children have basically been seen as his mini-me.

Back in June, royal fans spotted that Prince George looked the exact same as his father when he was a child, in the portrait released by the palace.

The photo showed a beaming Prince George dressed up in the outfit he wore to his baby brother Prince Louis’ christening – a white short-sleeved shirt with blue detailing down the front.

And looking at snaps of Prince William at his bother Prince Harry’s christening back in 1984, he was wearing an almost identical outfit.

The only difference is Prince George donned navy shorts while Diana dressed Prince William in a pair of blue shorts for the day.

It isn’t the first time fans have spotted the similarities between the princes’ outfits.

Kate Middleton has obviously taken inspiration from the 80’s with George’s clothes, as back in 2015 for Princess Charlotte’s birthday, Prince George also wore a very similar ensemble to the one Prince William wore back in 1984 following Prince Harry’s birth.

Likewise, Prince George wore the same colour outfit to watch the Trooping of the colour in 2015 as his father had done in 1984.

The princes share an extremely close bond, with Prince William nearly always spotted holding on to his son’s hand when they’re out at official events.
