Princess Charlene reunites with her kids after 'painful' separation

Princess Charlene of Monaco has been reunited with her family after three months of separation.

In a series of photos on her Instagram page, the 43-year-old former Olympian shared a number of professional photographs of her hugging her kids and husband, Prince Albert.

“I am so thrilled to have my family back with me (Gabriella decided to give herself a haircut!!!) Sorry my Bella I tried my best to fix it,” Charlene captioned the photo.

Indeed, the photo shows Charlene and Albert’s six-year-old daughter, Gabriella, sporting a jagged fringe. The couple’s six-year-old son, Prince Jacques looks delighted to be reunited with his mum in the snaps.

Princess Charlene has spent the last few months in South Africa after developing a series ear, nose and throat infection while she was participating in anti-poaching work.

It’s believed the princess was admitted for surgery two weeks ago, with the palace saying she underwent a “four-hour operation under general anaesthesia'.

Princess Charlene’s ongoing recovery from surgery also prevented her from returning to Monaco to celebrate her tenth wedding anniversary with Albert on July 1.

"This year will be the first time that I will not be with my husband on our wedding anniversary in July, which is difficult and saddens me," she said in a statement shared prior to the big day.

"However, Albert and I had no choice but to follow the instructions of the medical team, even if it was extremely difficult. He has been the most incredible support to me," she added.

Charlene later opened up about how painful it is to be separated from her husband and kids during such a 'trying time.'

"It's been a trying time for me. I miss my husband and children dearly," she told South African News Channel24.

"Albert is my rock and strength and without his love and support I would not have been able to get through this painful time."
