William 'worried' about Harry after he confirmed royal rift
Prince William is ‘worried’ for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle after the new parents admitted they are struggling.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex starred in a documentary that aired in the UK on Sunday night, which followed them during their recent tour of South Africa and Africa.
Following the one-hour program, a source told the BBC that Prince William was left ‘worried’ about the pair, and hopes they ‘are alright’.
Both Harry and Meghan admitted they were struggling with the intense scrutiny put upon them by the UK’s tabloid press.
The Duchess of Sussex said that her British friends warned her off of Harry, despite how happy she was.
“When I first met my now husband, my friends were really happy because I was so happy,” she said. “But my British friend said to me ‘I’m sure he’s great but you shouldn’t do it because the British tabloids will destroy your life’.”
She admitted she ‘naively’ thought that wouldn’t be the case and ‘didn’t get it’ at the time, before adding that it’s ‘been complicated’ since.
In an interview, which has circulated around social media attracting hundreds of thousands of comments, ITV’s Tom Bradby asked if it was fair to say that Meghan ‘was not really ok’, to which she replied ‘yes’.
Prince Harry referred to his mental health in the documentary as something that needed ‘constant management’.
“Part of this job is putting on a brave face but, for me and my wife, there is a lot of stuff that hurts, especially when the majority of it is untrue.”
The BBC reported that its palace source played down rumours that Prince William was ‘furious’ following Prince Harry’s ‘different paths’ comment.
The Duke Of Sussex told the ITV he and his brother have ‘good days’ and ‘bad days’.
He said: “We are brothers. We will always be brothers. We are certainly on different paths at the moment but I will always be there for him as I know he will always be there for me.”
