Prince William Sports Another Bold Style Change in Latest Sighting
With the summer coming to an end, the British royal family is wrapping up their annual vacation at Balmoral Castle in Scotland—and it appears Prince William is ready to get back to business.
Along with Kate Middleton and his eldest son George, William was spotted driving to Crathie Kirk, a church in Aberdeenshire, to attend a Sunday service on August 25, and the prince was sporting an all-new look. In a shift from the stubble he had earlier this month, William was completely clean-shaven.
In new photos obtained by Hello!, William wore a simple navy suit, while Princess Kate—in her first public appearance since attending Wimbledon in July—wore a brown plaid coat with long earrings and a hat with a feather on the side.
King Charles and Queen Camilla also went to the service, though William and Kate's two younger children, Charlotte and Louis, did not appear to join the rest of the family.
Fans raved about the prince's scruffier appearance when William and Kate appeared in a video on August 11 to send a message of support to British Olympic athletes.
Well done @TeamGB, what an incredible journey!
Every athlete showed immense dedication, heart and passion. You made us all so proud!
Here's to celebrating every triumph at @Paris2024 and looking forward to more from @ParalympicsGB later in the summer 🇬🇧🥇 pic.twitter.com/oCLz7HuuLG— The Prince and Princess of Wales (@KensingtonRoyal) August 11, 2024
"Catherine 😍 and Prince William with the facial hair 😅 love it 👌🏾," wrote one X user.
"Pardon me ladies.. I need to cool down. Prince William looks so handsome with a bit of facial stubble 😍😍," agreed a second fan.
William has switched back and forth between having a beard and shaving over the years, but is seen without facial hair more often than not. His fresh face is likely in preparation of making a return to royal duties with his next public engagement on Sept. 5, when he visits a new exhibition about homelessness at The Saatchi Gallery.
