Prince William once dumped Kate Middleton over the phone
While they're happily married and parents to three beautiful children now, back in 2007, Prince William was reportedly still "uncertain" about his relationship with Kate Middleton and chose to end their relationship over the phone – while she was in a meeting at work.
According to new book Battle of Brothers ,by royal historian Robert Lacey, the heir to the throne had been dating Kate for almost six years when he decided to make the call on April 11, 2007.
"Kate excused herself from a meeting at Jigsaw, the fashion store with which she’d recently started working, to take a call from William in a room out of earshot of the other buyers," Lacey wrote, according to Us Weekly.
"She shut the door for more than an hour. When she came out, she was single."
It was the second split for the couple, who had previously broken up in 2004.

This time, Kate made sure to show William what he was missing and that she was doing fine without him with Lacey writing that Kate was "sighted enjoying herself on the London party circuit. Ms. Middleton was not going to be seen as defeated'.
Her plan worked and William "got the message quicker than he or anyone else expected".
Ten and a half weeks after he ended things, William was back together with Kate with the pair being spotted kissing and dancing at a party.
Three years later, William proposed to Kate with his late mother Princess Diana's diamond and sapphire engagement ring during a safari holiday in Kenya. They later married on April 29, 2011.
