Prince Harry’s sweet birthday message to Meghan Markle

Meghan Markle is celebrating her first birthday as a mum, and her doting husband Prince Harry isn’t going to let it pass by unnoticed.

In a sweet tribute to the Duchess of Sussex, who turned 38 on Sunday, Harry penned a personal message on their shared Instagram page.

“Happy birthday to my amazing wife,” he said, “Thank you for joining me on this adventure! Love, H”.

Harry (or perhaps the Sussex team) was so quick with the message that he sent it out at 8am London time on Meghan’s birthday, ahead of any tribute posts from the Cambridges, Cornwalls, or the Queen.

Both Harry and Meghan have copped flack in the past for their birthday messages to other members of the royal family, so it remains to be seen how birthday wishes to the duchess will be received by the public.

Safe to say however, that fans of the Sussexes enjoyed the post and have been flooding it with plenty of heartfelt well wishes.

“So lovely to read a private message from the Prince!” one person wrote, while another said, “Harry, I’m so glad that Meghan joined you on this adventure too”.

Others heaped praise on the duchess saying, “the most amazing woman and my biggest inspiration in this world”, “so beautiful inside and out” and “what an inspiring modern role model you are. Keep doing the great work and making that difference together with Prince Harry by your side”.
