Prince Harry reveals how 'exhausted' Archie behaved during long haul flight

While Meghan Markle and Prince Harry may have little in common with most new parents, the royals are not immune to the most disastrous outcomes of bringing a baby on a long haul flight.

But luckily for his famous parents, little Archie Mountbatten Windsor was well behaved during his 11-hour jaunt from London to South Africa on Monday.

Jet set royal baby

The four-month-old’s father made the revelation during the royals’ first engagement in Cape Town, telling onlookers the bub was transfixed by the city’s natural beauty.

"He was staring out the window as we flew in - looking at Table Mountain," Prince Harry told locals while at the historical District Six Museum.

The duke went on to disclose how Archie has held up post-flight, telling another well-wisher the royal baby is "not grouchy, just exhausted".

Afterwards, when Harry was asked what his son was up to after arriving he replied, telling a young girl the baby was “sleeping”.

And while their first born caught up on some Southern Hemisphere-based rest, the duke and duchess were busy with a stacked-full roster of royal engagements.

Jam-packed tour

Meghan first captured the country’s heart with a speech focused on gave a passionate speech about her mixed-race heritage to a group of teenage girls at the Nyanga township.

“On one personal note, may I just say that while I’m here with my husband as a member of the Royal Family, I want you to know from me I am here with you as a mother, as a wife, as a woman, as a woman of colour and as your sister,” she said.
