Prince Harry and Meghan Markle might have to move out of Kensington Palace
There appears to be a bit of drama in Kensington Palace as it’s revealed Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may be forced to move out because senior royals have refuse to give up their home.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex officially moved into a cosy two-bedroom cottage called Nottingham House after they tied the knot in May – the same place where Harry proposed to Meghan while they enjoyed roast chicken.
But with the couple – who are expecting their first child together in Spring 2019 – making plans to raise a family together, The Sun reports they have been keen to move to a larger property as soon as possible.
Kensington Palace is currently home to several different royal family, including Prince William and Kate Middleton who live in a lavish 20-room apartment.
While The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, The Duke and Duchess of Kent and Prince and Princess Michael of Kent also reside on the grounds.
The Duke of Gloucester, who is the Queen’s cousin, currently lives in a 21-room apartment next door to William and Kate.
And while that is where Harry and Meghan would like to move into, sources claim to The Sun that the Duke’s wife Brigitte is refusing to move.
“Brigitte doesn’t want to leave. And why should she? She and her husband are still full-time working members of The Firm and they were given the apartment by Her Majesty.”
It’s now believed Harry and Meghan are looking into moving outside of the palace, as they look ahead to how things will change once Prince William becomes king.
A source explains: “Harry and Meghan want to move, and need more space, but they don’t want to live next door to William and Catherine.
“They will soon have separate offices and separate lives, so it would make sense for them to live further afield. There’s no reason why their London home has to be at Kensington Palace.
“There are plenty of other options, including using their own money to buy their own place.”
