Just days before Meghan Markle’s new podcast is headed into the world on April 8, Prince Harry’s ex-girlfriend Cressida Bonas is debuting her new show, too—with a surprising royal guest.

Bonas’ Lessons From Our Mothers podcast hits airwaves on March 30, which doubles as Mothering Sunday in the U.K. Bonas—who dated Harry from 2012 to 2014 and was his last serious relationship before the Duke of Sussex met Meghan in 2016—is an actress and a mother herself, announcing this past January that she’s expecting her second child with husband Harry Wentworth-Stanley after the 2022 birth of their first child Wilbur. For context, Meghan’s new show, Confessions of a Female Founder, debuts just a week later on April 8.

Interestingly, one of Bonas’ guests on her show will be none other than Princess Eugenie, Harry’s cousin and the younger daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson. Eugenie, in fact, set Bonas up with Harry years ago, and according to The Sun, the two women are still close friends.

In a sneak peek of Lessons From Our Mothers, Bonas asks Eugenie what the most “valuable” thing she’s learned from her mom, Ferguson, to which Eugenie responds, “I think for me, it’s the fire inside, you know, the strength inside of you, and how to bring that out and to pull it in when you most need it.”

Lessons From Our Mothers is co-hosted by Bonas and her half-sister Isabella Branson, who is married to the son of Sir Richard Branson. In addition to Eugenie, the two will welcome guests like Kate Winslet, Mary Berry, and Giovanna Fletcher for “a series of conversations that celebrate motherhood and mothering in all its forms.”

Bonas announced the podcast on her Instagram on March 19, writing, “We are excited to share something that we’ve been working on for a while.”

“When our own mum fell ill last year, we set out to ask her all the questions that we had never thought to ask—and now, we’re on a sisterly mission to find out the stories of some special guests (and their mothers) through this podcast,” she continued. “There’s been some laughter, some tears, and a lot of wisdom..and cake with Mary Berry, of course.”

Just as Confessions of a Female Founder is Meghan’s second foray into podcasting following her 2022 show Archetypes, so is Bonas’ Lessons From Our Mothers her own second show. Bonas previously hosted the Fear Itself podcast, which ran from 2020 to 2021 across 37 episodes and featured guests—including Sir Richard Branson—coming on to talk about their fears.
