Days after sources confirmed that Prince Andrew managed to find enough money to stay at Royal Lodge, insiders are sharing that although he may have overcome that hurdle, the home needs repairs and updates—and that Andrew may not have the money for that. Hello! reports that the property dates back to the 1600s and was rebuilt in 1840. In August 2003, Andrew agreed to a lease agreement established by the Crown Estate that allowed him to live there for 75 years—but King Charles reportedly looked to evict him because of his proximity to the Jeffrey Epstein scandal.

Experts say that Andrew may need to put an additional $320,000 into the home to update it.

"Royal Lodge appears to be showing visible signs of aging, including peeling paint, mold on exterior bricks, and likely underlying damp or poor insulation," Terry Fisher of We Buy Any Home told Hello!. "These issues point to postponed maintenance that could lead to more serious structural damage if not addressed soon."

Fisher identified water damage as just one of the challenges facing the "crumbling" property.

Last week, The Sunday Times reported that Andrew found enough money to remain at Royal Lodge. However, nobody has confirmed exactly how he got the cash. All the public knows is that the crown signed off on his staying at Royal Lodge.

"It is understood that Prince Andrew’s money has been approved by Sir Michael Stevens, the keeper of the privy purse, as coming from legitimate sources," the Times reported.
