Commit to Staying Fit—Once and For All

Prevention's fitness expert Donna Aston lays down four tough-love laws for those who struggle to stick with consistent exercise:

1. No excuses. Don't wait until you have spare time; make exercise an essential part of your daily routine.

2. Do something you enjoy. Try rollerblading, tennis, flying-trapeze lessons or a walk with a friend. Just move!

3. Hate exercise? You're not off the hook. It's likely you don't enjoy brushing your teeth either, but you'd never skip it. Prioritise exercise as you do showering and other personal maintenance.

4. Mix it up. Work out with something (or someone) extra fun; you'll be so busy concentrating, you won't have time to be bored!
