According to the Cleveland Clinic, vaginal bleeding is one of the most common symptoms of a subchorionic hematoma, which it describes as "when blood collects under the chorion membrane during pregnancy."

The chorion membrane is in charge of attaching a mother’s uterine wall to her baby’s amniotic sac.

While most subchorionic hematomas go away on their own without causing pregnancy complications, Culpo said at that point she had become "so exhausted."

"Like two weeks of just not being able to move and then all of a sudden just like purging. It was like a lot. It was heavy," said Culpo.

The experience made it "really exciting to see that there was still a heartbeat," after going to the doctor, but she still faced some limitations.

"He said 'You can't go anywhere. You can't travel.' Like truly staying in bed," said Culpo.

Further in the video, the model confirmed that her pregnancy has improved, expressing that she is "really grateful that everything is going well so far."
